xlogo1-pagespeed-ic_-oxp-vzni3l1Ok so you know that I love a great deal, and I love getting eyeglasses at a steal. So when I found out about GlassesShop.com I was really happy. They have an amazing range of glasses for him and her, at prices hundreds of dollars less than what you would pay to your eye doctor.
You may be skeptical about how easy it is to get your prescription glasses online, but let me tell you it is so easy you will want to buy all of them online. And best of all using the promo FIRSTFREE you get your first set of glasses free just pay shipping.

18387115_1530348576996738_537799630_nThey have many amazing styles that is sure to fit your taste. Starting out at just $19.95 you can browse their selections and virtually try on any set of glasses by uploading a picture of yourself. But how do you know what your prescription is? Well when you get your eye exam done, just ask your doctor for a copy of it and your pupil distance. Then take that information over to http://www.glassesshop.com/first-pair and find the set frame that is just right for you. Now if you cant find a free pair you can still look through the rest of their inventory by going to http://www.glassesshop.com.

Update on content posting

22 Jan

Ok so recently it was brought to my attention that there were some posts on the blog http://www.prepperdays.com that were not linked back properly to the pages where the information was originally hosted. According to my Hosting Admin this is because of RSS (Really Simple Syndication).

As websites and other blogs post their content for Syndication via RSS/FeedBurner/Aggregators or other service, that sometimes HTML and links are often removed from these posts, and that sometimes only pictures remain depending on how the RSS is set up. Many bloggers post their entire website into the RSS feed. When they find another website that has apparently taken all their content and republished it without permission, they are understandably upset.

It doesn’t matter that they posted it in RSS, all they are seeing is that their content is being displayed somewhere else without permission. As I have stated to the few bloggers/sites that have contacted me on this issue, I did not willfully take information or content from their site, http://www.prepperdays.com is user submitted and RSS syndicated and embedded.

As it states in the About section of the blog http://www.prepperdays.com

“As the owner of this blog it is my hopes and attempts to share with everyone information that I find, produce, and post. If you have information that you think would add to the readership of this site please submit it to me”

It also states

“THIS INFORMATION IS COLLECTED FROM AROUND THE WEB AND USER SUBMITTED. IF AN ARTICLE OR INFORMATION IS YOURS PLEASE UNDERSTAND THAT IT IS NOT THE INTENTION OF THIS BLOG OR ITS AUTHOR TO COPYRIGHT INFRINGE UPON ANY PERSONS, IT IS POSTED HERE WITH THE INTENTIONS OF HELPING THE COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE AND PROVIDED FOR INFORMATIONAL PURPOSES ONLY. IF LINKS OR CONTENT HAS BEEN CHANGED I AM SORRY. IF I PERSONALLY BORROW FROM ANOTHER BLOG OR USE CONTENT I WILL TRY AND REMEMBER TO LINK BACK TO SAID ARTICLE OR WEBSITE.”

Now on to how the blog is set up. http://www.prepperdays.com is set up to access RSS feeds as well as user submitted information. Once this information has been accessed and posted to the PrepperDays.com it automatically publishes these updates to all the social media sites that it is connected to (ie FaceBook, Twitter, Pinterest, Tumblr, ect).

If there is an article that was originally posted on your page that is now on the blog my Admin and myself would be more than happy to place a link back to your page/post. Please understand that if I or another user have linked to your RSS feed that your information will be displayed on my site and wherever else the RSS feed is embedded. The only way to keep this from happening is to disable RSS and Syndication on your site.

As this effects both readers and Google Indexing and Page Rankings I highly suggest against this.

If you would like to discuss this matter further please feel free to contact me privately prepperdays@gmail.com

Announcement to all submitters

20 Jan

It has recently come to my attention that some of the articles that have been submitted to this site and posted have come from other Prepper bloggers without any credit or backlinking to their sites. It has always been in the About section of this blog that information has been/will be gathered and submitted from around the web. I have no control over user submitted information and ask that you please provide me with a link to your original content and I will post it on the article/post in question.

I am sorry for any problems or inconveniences that this may have caused you with your readership or postings. It is not the intention of this blog (or its owner) to do anything to harm or misrepresent or misuse any information that is found herein. If you do find an article that belongs to you please bring it to my attention prepperdays@gmail.com and I will add a backlink to your site in said article or host a banner linking back to your site.

It is (and remains still) my hope to share information in a positive and commutative manner to help other like minded people obtain information that may one day help with their own survival or disaster needs.
